Not ANOTHER high school math weekend!

Comment with any ship (romantic or platonic or maybe even non-existent!) from a fandom that you know I have some knowledge about, and I will rant about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on your ship of choice.

memes, multifandom, shipping is serious business?

I'll repeat part of my rant at Lau 8D

I have a problem with Percy, and it's the same problem I had with Harry Potter (the character). I can't ship them for real for my life. I can see the canon ships coming and all, and why people ship the non-canon ones even when I don't agree with the subtext they see. But ship-ship them with someone myself? I can't. I suspect it might be because, as much as they grow up, I still met him and Harry when they were 11-12 and they're kinda baby brother figures forever to me?

That said, I would've been alright with it if they had become canon (although I was sure it was a temporary triangle to spice things up). Mostly because Rachel is awesome and brought an interesting option, but what happened with her by the end rocks much more because MY APOLLONIAN SEER PINGS (apparently I had those, who knew?).

I thought I'd never ship the Doctor with a companion (or at least a human companion, because I get the feeling I'd like Four/Romana). But there's just something about River and the way she interacts with Eleven that won me hard as soon as I met her. She's fabulous and mysterious and playful and a gray-area trickster, therefore a kind of person the Doctor doesn't handle much often, which made the first meetings hilarious because she had the upper hand. It might be an unpopular opinion but I love to see characters in similar (or better) levels to the Doctor. But once he gets used to her, he joins the teasing and flirting and it's several kinds of awesome. Then we get to hear River's story and feelings, and I'm still picking the pieces of my heart from the floor. But even if it's heart-breaking, it's fun and full of banter at the same time. So yeah, I ship it like Fedex.

Not in the fandom, so I don't know either if it's unpopular or not, but I like that too. :p
