Doing better.

Yesterday was crappy. I had a reasonably stress-free day at work [at least, there was no added stress...I didn't have to plan much in the AM and just walked students through a formal lab report. Nothing bad happened. I think it's probably the lack of sleep, but I was going nuts. I drank Valerian water [once I remembered it was still there from ( Read more... )

Has your Pdoc ever tried you on Trazadone. It's a non-addictive anti-depressant that gives me 8-9 hours of peaceful sleep and allows me to wake clear headed, even if I only get 6 hours sleep. It is a wonder drug for me.

My gp gave it to me once a while ago...I've got some left. It was alright, it helped me sleep, but i woke up every morning really stuffy with a sinus headache.

have you tried rozerem? i just started that again and it's helping a lot. it's not addictive or habit forming. just take it when you need it.

ps. no side effects, either. except they list "drowsiness" as a side effect... which is stupid since that's the wanted effect. :oP

but i can't take lunesta or ambien- i totally hallucinate. trazodone- i wake up violently vomiting.
sonata sometimes works, but it's hit or miss. so far, so good on the rozerem. two thumbs up, in my book.

I love when medications list their wanted effect as a side effect. "This sleep medicine might make me tired?!?! WHAT?!?!?"

Wow.
I'm hoping to find some kind of melatonin based something that doesn't make me so allergy-ridden. I haven't had allergies since moving down here...but every time I take the mel. I wake up with a sore throat, stuffy...and I started getting itchy small bumps on my arm after a few days!!! Not good...

Hopefully it's something else in the pills and not actually the melatonin that I'm allergic to...since it works...

i wouldn't think you'd be allergic to melatonin since it's a natural substance already in your body..

i'm glad you went to dance that night. i loved when there were only a couple of us there so it became a private lesson of sorts.

and i think it's awesome you guys still have your wednesday han's and rachel nights. i want to do something like that when im married, or at least when our schedules aren't changing all of the time.
