Not the best day I can remember

So I just got off the 'phone with my sister. My grandmother is in hospice care and only expected to last a couple more days at most. I haven't seen her in twelve years, and even if we had the money to hurry out there right now, we couldn't get through because of the snow. She hasn't recognized anyone for years, but it would still be nice to see

Your in my thoughts. Three of my grandparents died before I was born (twenty years before in the case of two of them) and my memories of the only one that survived are very hazy because I was only five when she died but seeing family members decline like that is tough.

And now I've gotten word the waiting's over. From my mother. I don't imagine that was easy for her.
