So I'm sorry that it's been so long since I've written in here, and my first entry back is going to be depressing. But there are some things that tumblr is lame at. I need my LJ. I miss it. I miss you.

I took my cat, Shady, to the vet today because I noticed a huge lump on the side of his tummy. The vet didn't want to say what it might be without

I've been going through similar issues with my new cats and it's terrifying and heartbreaking, and why the fuck won't more vets let people do things like payment plans?? I hope your baby is okay! If he's not displaying any other symptoms, I'm sure he will be!

Thank you so much. Ugh, it IS terrifying because I don't know what the hell this giant lump is and I have to WAIT and the threat of the money is looming over my head and I just want him to be WELL and HAPPY and not sick. Gah.

Fwiw, I've had cats for the last almost 15 years and, in my experience, they'll let you know if/when something is really wrong -- they'll act subdued or extra grumpy or something, y'know. It's not a foolproof system, obviously, but it's happened enough with my cats that I thought it might reassure you a bit *hugs* I hope your kitty will be okay, he sure is a cutie <3

That's the thing! He's acting the same as normal. He runs around, he eats a lot, he play-fights with the dog. It's just that the lump seems REALLY big and he's so small and precious and ugh, I'm just a little overwrought.

But thank you, I appreciate it. I'm sure you're right <3 <3 And he IS a cutie! That's him with Mrs Norris from Harry Potter, with whom he has a love/hate relationship.
