I've heard so many good things about the Stephanie Plum series. I should give them a try, but I'm skeptical because I tried reading a Janet Evanovich book once and didn't even bother finishing it. I think it was either Full Speed or Full Tilt or something...

Yea, I've looked at that series and decided not to read it. But her motor mouth series is pretty good.

Actually, she talks herself about how she used to write romance, and how she wasn't too good at it. I think with the Stephanie Plum series she found her niche. It's one of the rare books where you will actually laugh out loud. People will be looking at you like you're crazy. The lead characters are just so original.

Haha, I should give them a try!!

Do you think I could just pick up any of the books in the series?! Or is it important to start with #1 and go in order?!

You don't have to read them in order because the story lines don't really depend on thelast book all that much. But it's best to start somewhere near the beginning. I will say it's more fun to start with #1 because there are some comical themes that continue through the whole series. It feels like you have an inside joke going on with the characters ;)
