If it's below 70F in your apt you can call the city and they can force your property manager to come and fix the problem, within 24hrs.

I think it's part of the Landlord-Tenant Act.

That's ridiculous!

Ditto this. Heat is a vital service, and they have to deal with it asap. You could also try calling the Ministry of Municipal Housing's Enforcement Unit.

They are dealing! It's just taking a day or two. It's really no worse than The Tiniest Apartment; I endured an entire winter of that, so one or two more days won't kill me. And I will appreciate the heat that much more when it is available. Mmm, warmth.

It's not that the property managers aren't doing anything, heck, the building managers are some of the tenants affected by this no heat thing. It's that the heating guy that's contracted for this building is on holiday. So it's a matter of either getting someone else to do it or making this guy come in and fix things.

I predict that we'll have heat tomorrow. In the meantime: baths.
