Lindsey hadn't really slept in three days. Four. Hadn't eaten really or shaved much for that fact. The only shower he had gotten was the one he took to focus to be able to do the magic spell the other day for Angel. So at least he didn't smell.

So he was a very interesting looking creature when he walked in the door to stop in and feed Kona before spending the morning making his routine phone calls. But as he started into the kitchen, he looked in the living room.

And saw Cordelia fast asleep on the couch.

His eyes opened wide and he rushed out of the kitchen and into the living room. Staring at her a moment, he saw the gentle movements her body made as she breathed. her eyes fluttered under her lids as she slept.

There wasn't a scratch on her. She was safe. Alive. And home.

"Cord," he managed to mutter before he just sat on the edge of the couch, pulling her gently to him and holding her close. To make sure she was real. That she was really there, and not a figment of his imagination.

It took her a minute to wake up. The phone slipped out of her hand and clattered to the floor as she finally groaned and blinked her eyes open.

"Lindsey. I fell asleep. I was going to call you. I - " She pulled back enough to see him and stopped. "You look like hell."

"Yeah, well I've been just a bit preoccupied," he stated, reaching up to run a hand along her face.

"What happened? Where were you? Are you ok? Who took you?"

She leaned her cheek into his hand and closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them quickly before she could drift off again.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't supposed to be gone this long. I thought it would only take an hour or two, otherwise I would have left word somewhere."

Stupid oracles.

She sat back a little and reached for his hand. "I'm fine. Actually, I'm better than fine. I'm healed. Or cured, or whatever you want to call it. I found an oracle - two, actually. I've been looking for them for a few weeks now, but I didn't want to say anything until I found one. I didn't want to get your hopes up too much in case it didn't work. Anyway, I found them and thought I would only have to talk to them for a few minutes and then I could come back here before you got done with your court thing, but I guess time moves differently wherever they are, because what felt like an hour to me ended up being four days here. I'm really sorry if I made you worry. I tried to call you while I was in there, but my phone wouldn't work."
