All the school uniform clothes are ready for next year, and were given to us second-hand, so all the damage was done by others. The dress had been (badly) hemmed up shorter, but D doesn't need it that short at all! The tracksuit pants had dodgy elastic, which I replaced. The t-shirts had a couple of little tears in them which I carefully patched up.
D's favourite skirt wasn't terribly well made and the elastic had also given up the ghost, so I replaced it. E's dress - the buttonholes had started to unravel, so needed re-stitching. You know how much attention she gives her buttons!
Oh, and the stockings - well, D is very rough and active, but is a klutz too. So mending ladders just eke out the existence of the stockings for a few more wears.
So nothing too out of the ordinary, just trying to get more wear out of the clothes...

Yes, buttons. Dawnie loves them too. But is more of a zipper girl.
Sounds like a lot of work to me. Ugh. But worth it to get at least one ankle biter off to school.
