Sweet, I have now watched all the movies nominated for Best Picture. ( Here is where I ramble about them and use a ratings system of LOVED IT or MEH. )

Cried. The row of grown-ass dudes in front of me cried.

ONLY PERSON NOT CRYING WHEN I SAW IT WAS THE SEVEN YEAR OLD WHO'S OLDER BROTHER WAS SOBBING AND SOBBING.

Jacking this thread to say I was sitting next to my five year old cousin and she asked why was I crying and not in a cute way, but in a mocking "psh, you are weak" way D:

Kids today are hardened, man.

NO JOKE. I was watching Fly Away Home with my eight year old cousin the other day. When I was her age I remember SOBBING at the movie, all my cousin had to say was that it was a horrible movie about birds. BIRDS.

I then showed her Homeward Bound, started crying when the dog gets stuck AND SHE TURNED OFF THE MOVIE AND GAVE ME THIS LOOK. Like I was insane. CHILDREN THESE DAYS. THEY HAVE NO HEARTS.

COLIN FIRTH IS GOING TO WIN THIS YEAR, IT'S HAPPENING.

The TSN OST was awwwwwwesome, and even better in the context of the movie. I'm curious about whether or not that kind of contemporary music OST has ever won an Oscar before.

with that nice high-pitched voice he has.

Haha, after the SNL sketch I thought I was the only one who likes his voice. He has a very convincing good-guy voice!

HAHA there's an SNL sketch about his voice?? Amazing, will look up soon. He totally has a convincing good guy voice; I mean, SURE, he just robbed you/your boyfriend and took you hostage, but listen, he's not going to hurt you, okay, he just really needs the money to pay off his mother's gambling debts, okay?

I have seen most of these! just not 127 hours (I just - could not. I fucking love danny boyle and all, he gave me 28 days later, but shit. no can do, sorry.), the kids are all right, or winter's bone. I really want to see winter's bone, though!

I am really excited for the oscars, actually! not because I actually think it really matters that much who wins, but because I have seen most of the movies this year! I will know what is going on, probably!

(and is tsn doesn't win for the ost, I'll be so mad. that's probably the one award I really won't understand anyone else winning, ahahaha.)

AHHH is it because it's too graphic? Because it was very realistically graphic, but I'm kind of amazed at how they made a movie about a dude being stuck in one spot for 127 hours so damn gripping.

YES it is totally because I have seen the majority of movies as well! LET US BE EXCITED TOGETHER.

Idk, I'm torn between TSN and Inception for OST. (WHERE IS TRON, BTW). I'm kind of grudgy against Hans Zimmer for reasons I can't pinpoint -- except for the fact that The Thin Red Line OST was a snoozefest and I think he got a lot of recognition for that one -- but man, the Inception music was golden.
