New(ish) Cat

We don't go looking for new cats. They seem to find us. As has often happened, shortly after we lost Minikin, we learned of a cat who needed a home

I think he needs a stately name.

Thank you! He looks stately sometimes, but when he is frantically scratching on a metal appliance or closet door he just makes me laugh. He is handsome cat, though.

So glad to hear that another kitty found you. He looks exactly like my Sam and sounds like him too. Sammy is all black except for a small white patch on his chest. He is also very vocal. Talks to me all the time.

Good luck with your new kitty. I hope he finds a name soon and that he and Eddy become fast feline friends.

Hey, I have an extremely-vocal, all-black cat named Sam, too! :)

She's a girl, though, and her real name is Samhain.

Hmmm, how about I don't name him Sam? If I did that then we would all get confused!

Sam isn't that regal, anyway. I think it fits my tomboy-ish cat, but I don't think it works as well for a part-Siamese.

Congratulations on your new kitty. It sounds like he's going to be a wonderful addition to your home.

As for his name, I think he'll let you know in time what it's supposed to be.

Thank you! He's good cat. I thought it was pretty smart of him to try to make his own wet food. Sometimes he's just silly, though. When I open the dishwasher to put dishes in it or take dishes out that he comes over to inspect. He pokes his head in and he looks under the open door. I think he's thinking, "Hey, what happened to my scratching surface?"

I keep hoping that he will eventually let us know what his name is, but some of our friends are getting impatient! I'll keep thinking...
