It would appear that Schuldig was under the opinion that Shu could take his 'final warning' and do unmentionable things with it.

One German telepath's foot applied itself to Shu's front door. It broke open with a boom, flying over and into the wall. One of the first things people learned when killing people was how to kick open a door. Schuldig usually let Farfarello do it, so when he got a good kick in, he felt rather pleased with himself.

Stalking in, he fired a shot down the hallway and into the wall. The idea was to make as much noise as possible and throw the strategist into confusion. He knew the man wasn't anywhere near he was shooting, so he figured all was well. If he put a good scare into Shu, so much the better. That torn up sheet in his pocket would come in very handy one way or another.

"SHU!" he shouted, voice booming down the hallway. "GET OUT HERE!"

Another shot was fired upwards and through the floor. Sellz was probably going to be pissed when she found a bullethole in her pillow and feathers everywhere.

There were times when fear could blank a man's mind. When sudden sounds, confusion, the speed of something could leave him reeling, longing for reprieve, a time to gather his thoughts - and during those moments, it could feel like no time was enough.

All at once, all around the house, twenty little paws went scampering away from the sudden bang, hiding in corners with wide cat eyes dilated to near roundness, fur up on end. Meanwhile, Shu was left to simply stand there, mystified. He would never be accustomed to the sound of guns, would be unlikely to ever hear gunfire and immediately know the reason. In his world, they were entirely specialist weapons, rarely seen and rarely heard. Here, common as they comparatively were, he still found that he couldn't be at ease around them, could never look at them and immediately make the connection ( ... )

"I told you exactly why I was coming here," Schuldig said with deadly patience, swiveling the gun barrel to point at Shu's head. "Why is it that you people always look so surprised when I do what I say I'm going to. If I say I'm going to shoot someone, chances are that I'm going to shoot them. If I say I'm coming over, hell or high water, chances that I am coming over. Now get down here before I have to come up those stairs and get you ( ... )

He really had lost it, hadn't he? Shu watched him with a mix of amazement and absolute horror; the look on Schuldig's face was like nothing he was familiar with, neither the affectionate and rueful grins he offered he and Elena nor that cool, calm front he summoned for his professional work. This was absolutely manic, and the knowledge set his heart thudding with anxiety, with outright fear. He was unpredictable, threatening, like nothing Schuldig had ever shown him before. Surely Brad must have known this was going to happen? Why wasn't he warned ( ... )
