As a big ol' sci-fi nut and occasional producer of it myself, I felt I ought to weigh in on the Orson Scott Card kerfuffle.  (There are many links on this; here's one.)

I don't have clear answers, actually; but I'm good at questions and I'd love to hear others' input.

Having recently re-read it (on hearing about the movie), I, at least, find that the only really good bit of Ender's Game is the message at the end: Redemption is possible, even for the Xenocide.

I find that, for myself, my dislike of him as a personity makes it impossible for me to like his stories anymore. Which is a little sad, but true. I won't be seeing the film.
