[ as one girl steps into the kitchen, she does a double-take and steps out.

Then steps back in.

[ casts her a quick glance, then back to his work ]

I assure you, you're very much awake.

[ shakes her head with an admiring smile ]

And you just felt like going on a mad cooking spree?

[gearsof]

I am a guest in your house- the least I can do is cook you a proper meal once and a while.

[ two days later, Saga is still in bed-- but mostly because of a bad cold she's getting over. At least she's awake and-- chatting with the ghost cat. ]

I'm glad they're only showing up about once a month now. Remember the time we had two in a week?

[ there is someone lightly knocking on the door ]

Come in!

[gearsof]

[ opens the door and pokes his head in ] I thought I heard someone chatting in here.

[looneyrune]

[ after a lovely week with family members and no runes, Saga's back in Massachusetts and spending the rare day at the museum to finish up some work. But that's just been completed, so now she's heading back to the apartment yay \o/ ]

[ Alabaster, oddly enough, won't be there. He'd gone for a walk, and stumbled upon a charming little clock shop. And he's still there, possibly engaging in some kind of impromptu job interview with the owner ]

... [ well, this is definitely odd. But it's not unusual for him to go off on his own for hours at a time, so she's putting worry aside and tackling the task of cooking dinner ]

[ He's a long time in coming, but eventually he shows up- seeming a bit more chipper than usual ] Saga?

[looneyrune]

[ the fun part about waking up with rune pain is that at least you aren't collapsing at the table. And that's something Saga's grateful for, even if she's more focused on running through town right now. And noticing something... very odd.

... Namely that people seem to be in pairs, and more than half of them are being... very affectionate. ]

... Don't tell me...

[ he's jogging up behind her, looking around at all of the people ]

Saga-? Is this... normal?

Only when it's Valentines Day, and even then, people are a little more... reserved.

... Then what-? [ he has a feeling he already knows the answer ]

[ the next day dawns bright and-- still freezing, but a rune has been conquered, and one quarter-goddess is miraculously... still conscious.

Horribly embarrassed and horribly in pain while she's propped herself up against the front door, but still very much conscious! ]

[ For his own part, Alabaster had half-expected her to not be there when he woke up- the part where she's leaning on the front door in pain was new, though. ]

Saga-? [ he's up and dressed- well, half dressed. He doesn't have time to be embarrassed- rather quickly, and moving to her side ]
