I can't even do a 15-minute ficlet right

Sep 21, 2003 23:54

Seeing as I am too medicated to work on anything else atm, I decided to try the current 15minuteficlets challenge. I kinda failed -- finished it in 20 min. But here it is, in all its rough, unbetaed glory. Better something than nothing.

Luna at the end of OotP: G, unbetaed, unedited, asterisk marks the end of 15 minutes )

It's lovely, Puella. Very nice indeed. I love your dreamy Luna...perfectly IC. Reminds me muchly of Alice in Wonderland, the whole thing.

Thank you. I enjoy writing Luna -- she flows, and is a great character to explore with.

I just had a totally out of reality moment, wherein my brain simply thought "yes, this really happened." Sure, why not, I mean, we didn't see it but it's compleltely possible... oh, wait, because it's only a book. No matter. I am convinced that this is entirely what happened with Luna after she and Harry parted. So sweet, so sad, and so perfectly IC.

Thanks! After writing it, I realized it was my way of addressing/complicating the Luna/Harry lost-stuff/Death discussion at the end of the book. Thus, Dumbledore, who has a much more extensive history of loss and reclamation.

Thank you! It was quite a surprise -- Luna hadn't really been at the forefront of my mind, but turned out to be an interesting way to address some of my concerns with Dumbledore and his use of Snape, Harry and any number of others OotP/DA members. She's nifty that way.
