It's funny how some dogs adore mud and water while others are more fastidious.

We managed a nice walk this morning and the paths through the woods weren't too bad. They're on a steep hill, so have drained better than the field we had to cross on Thursday.

Yes! Though I always ended up with the non-fastidious sort!

The wind and sunshine have finally started to dry out the high ground here. But the valley bottoms are still very, very soggy.

I love how the big old trees arch over the path! It creates a delightful, protected space. :-)

Yes, the old oaks always stretch their branches across paths and lanes round here. It makes for lovely shady walks in the summer.
