the Almshouses of Mordor
My first thought was Gormenghast, but it could be Mordor. Either way, what was the architect thinking?

Heh! Yes, I have absolutely no explanation for the design of those almshouses... Unless it was the same 19th century punish-the-paupers mentality that came up with the Workhouse.

No, these were all taken with the old camera (which decided to start working again as soon as I had ordered a replacement!)
I'm hoping to get to grips with the new camera this weekend.
