Lockdown music practice continues, discreetly, with the volume on the keyboard turned down, and the windows closed. Currently doing battle with two hornpipes: the Sligo Fancy and the Peacock's Feather.

listening to this tune, I imagined Morris dancing. After a long break in the game, it is better to take slow melodies, for example, the first part of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata would be suitable ))

All my melodies are currently slow melodies - slow-motion jigs and hornpipes! Very stately!

Though I am also practising a waltz, which should be slower and easier... only it is booby-trapped with arpeggios.

I used to have a piano, until I got tired of moving it across the US. I have a couple of keyboards -- I used to run the little Casio through the stereo to make the organ sound like an organ and rattle the windows with the bass. I'm like that.

I know I had books of piano music for jigs and reels, too. Because they are fun.

Have fun with your playing!

Thank you!

LOL.

I should try and find some piano scores for my jigs and reels - the old sheet music from my accordion days only has the melody, not the accompaniment.
