The addition of a new medication starting two months ago has left me in an altered state of reality. We have been very slowly titrating upwards in dosage (i.e. a slow increase), and are not yet at the full level. FWIW, Seroquel would put an elephant to sleep for a month. I lost the sleeping problem a week ago.

As to Seroquel and its cousins - I am very reluctant to take sleeping aids, though I will if this doesn't calm down eventually. But every night? Eep!

If you've ever heard of Ambien, I honestly did find myself walking around Market Street at 3 am in the rain in my boxer shorts, totally alert, yet asleep. The police woke me up, we got to my building door but I was locked out. I had to look around the building to see who was still up to buzz me in. I was mortified. The neighbor told me I had been walking around the atrium lobby many nights dressed like that. She thought I was going to the trash chute. Oy.
