Jak hadn't seen Erol since the apprehension in the Casino. He'd been hesitant to visit, but eventually curiosity had gotten the better of him, and he'd convinced Batou to let him see the ex-KG racer, even just for a few minutes.

But as the door opened and he saw the cage, the teen's shoulders tensed. It took up half the room and allowed Erol access to the bed; of course, it made sense that Batou didn't really need it, but the thought hadn't even crossed Jak's mind until now.

Folding his arms, he watched Erol sleep, his jaw tense, fingers tapping against his arms. To put it bluntly, the ex-Commander looked like shit; gaunt and pale and a shadow of the man he used to be.

Leaning back against the wall, Jak waited for him to wake up.

Remy had decided to follow along to. He'd never really met the object fueling his hatred. Hell, the first time he'd seen the bastard was when he patted him down and removed him of his weapons and communicator. He also felt he should keep an eye on Jak as he knew Jak always got tense whenever Erol was mentioned.

He examined the cage Batou's set up. Nice setup, really. Quite thorough. He had come to expect no less from the big guy.

His eyes narrow as they come to Erol's sleeping form. Pathetic. He looked pathetic and a wreck. Good. He deserved it for causing Glaukir so much pain.

Erol was normally an incredibly light sleeper. He ought to have come awake at the swipe of the key, never mind the sound of the door and the sensation of eyes on him ( ... )

Jak's eyes narrowed, and he watched Erol with an evaluating gaze.

He expected the man to be pacing, throwing himself at the bars, struggling to get free. There was something wrong, and deeply unnerving about the calmness and lack of movement.

Jak said absolutely nothing, though his fingers clenched at his forearms, knuckles pale.

For a luxury cruise, the Elegante didn't seem to have much to preoccupy a woman like Capris. Perhaps it was just a problem with her? Perhaps jumping on her high horse and capturing a rapist had left her unsatisfied with painting her nails?

Well. Whatever the case (and because said nails had already been painted three times today), she found herself sliding into Batou's room. Maybe just to stare at Erol, maybe to speak to the cyborg - whom she found an intelligent conversationalist - maybe someone else would be there...

"But then, you'd know evil. Wouldn't you. Boy."

The words reached her ears as she reached through the shadows.

"What's this about knowing evil?"

It was right there, the Dark Eco was RIGHT there inside him, pulling towards Erol, gravitating towards the source of Jak's hatred and anger, swelling, rising ...

Glancing askance at Capris as she stepped out from the shadows of the room -- how long had she been there? -- Jak scowled, forcing it back down inside, back where he could control it and keep it from completely taking over his sanity.

"Nothing."

Erol glanced over as the girl appeared. He hadn't heard the door, and she certainly wasn't here earlier. Something more than meets the eye on that one.

Didn't mitigate the fact that Erol hated her guts and would be happy to see them spilled. She was a cock tease, beautiful, capable, confident and afflicted with a sense of morality. He HATED that.

"Boy claims I'm evil," he tossed aside. "Suppose it could be true. Don't actually care."

Erol had always found such things boring, tedious. He was what he was; the strong took from the weak; those who could, did. Why bother with right and wrong? His disdain for the value system came through in his tone, and he started pacing again.

"He's a smart man." She leaned back, glancing sharply at Jak. What was that? What was that -

It couldn't be the Darkness. That wouldn't make sense. Would it?

"But, like you said," she shrugged, "you don't care. So what's the point?"
