Logan lead Cally, Lee, Angel, Parker and Molly back to his house. The snow was thick and still falling, but tolerable. He unlocked the doors and gestured for everyone to come inside. "It ain't much, but it's home," he grinned.

Over a dozen tentacles had themselves wrapped around the various load-bearing walls in the house. Additional ones were underneath the very floor, yanking at the foundations. The Echolls house started to rumble, and a giant split appeared down the side of one wall.

"EVERYBODY OUT NOW!" Angel shouted. It wasn't even a question that he'd be the last to go.

Cally does her best to get a hold of herself and runs out into the open snow.

...Because that doesn't make her a complete target again, noooo.

A series of fins slice their way through the white powder. Somewhere, in the distance, you can hear John Williams music.

A tentacle flew at Angel's head. This particular tentacle was really more ice than snow, so, you know, painful.

Angel fell to the ground, temporarily stunned by the blow. He shook his head to try to clear it.

Molly went to help Angel up. "It's out in the courtyard. If we can get rid of the body the tentacles should stop."

Angel nodded. This wasn't the first time he'd fought with a teenaged girl that could kick ass. He was sure it wouldn't be the last. "What do we have that can hurt the body?"

She looked directly at him, her pink eyes flaring just a bit. "Me. You. That flamethrower Logan mentioned?"

Parker made it outside, then turned to see what was happening.

The tentacles were pulling the house down as she watched; puffs of snow were rising, and the growling and thrashing were increasing.

"Echolls? Does your homeowner's insurance cover this?"
