Hi there! I tend to get in a funk when I'm not sleeping right. I often don't realize it at the time. Sounds like the hives may have disturbed your sleep

Hi Heather. =) Thanks for the thoughts, it's awesome to connect with you here too!
I'm hoping for a quiet, non-eventful weekend to catch up, and for a better week next week. Plus I've got to do my "assignment" for this week's class question!
BTW, your question to Bruce was very helpful for me, in terms of how to deal with emotions!
I'm still reading the assignment for the week. I can only manage bit-by-bit. It's pretty intensive!
Then there are all the other articles he's recommended, too! I'm not letting myself get overwhelmed but have taken a few "reading breaks" during the day rather than trying to push through it all at once.
I think I had a "a-ha!" moment when I asked that question. I think if I can do what Bruce suggests, I will have much better communication with people at work and at the doctor's office.
I asked his permission to take a copy of what he said to my therapist for her feedback. She's kept me feeling very grounded, despite the fact that we have an enormous amount of work-stress and I'm trying to adapt to this illness. Pacing is NOT my strong suit - so that's probably why I'm slogging through this assignment!
Totally hear you - this assignment paralyzed me. I keep opening the email to answer, and keep closing it. =( Between work and kids, there's so much that I can't seem to focus on this long enough to answer intelligently, and I know if I force myself it won't be useful... =/
