Thank you for a lovely travelogue... sounds like you two had a wonderful honeymoon. :-) And it was wonderful to see you in LA earlier this month.

Minus the seeing you, what she said!

In my copious amounts of spare time, if you want to practice your Spanish, let me know. I've been speaking for 16 years.

That sounds great and makes me wish for more time in Europe. The British worldcon looms, but it probably won't afford us time to make it to say, Amsterdam.

If you get any time at all to go to the Netherlands, go to Rotterdam. It's not as sexy, but you can actually see it and enjoy it.

If you want the fastest trip, then go to Lille. It's the first stop on Eurostar and it's a city I fell in love with back in 2008.

Better idea: don't leave the UK while you're there. Take a day trip to Bath Spa. It's only two hours from Paddington station, and it was only about £40 round trip per person with no advance purchase.

The Roman Baths are a great way to see something impossible to view at home in a short time. Give yourself three or four hours, and be back in time for evening rush hour. The Baths are a couple blocks from the train station.
