Walking by, Kakashi cannot just pass by his arch nemesis in such a prone position. Thus, with a cautious glance either way down the hall, he retrieves his wand from his sleeve and with a complicated flourish, he utilizes some obscure nonverbal spell to stick Gai's pants to the bench he's sitting on, and yet another to increase the man's saliva production so that by the time he awakes, he'll be stuck in a pool of his own drool. Allowing himself a secret, triumphant little grin, the Hatake moves on before he's found out.

*oh come on, who would treat a weary warrior in such a cavalier fashion!?? \o/*

*as highly trained as he is, Gai is also extremely worn out, and his tired senses don't register his plight until the state of his robe front is rather embarrassing; then, with a bleary-eyed twitch, he comes back to life, realizing as he moves (or fails to) that something is very wrong*

*his yell of outrage floats down the corridor; a few quick spells unstick him -- he didn't take those Auror classes for nothing -- but in the chaos of students running in and out in preparation for the train ride, not to mention the condition in which the parents left the school, makes it impossible to find any clues as to the PERFIDIOUS SOUL who perpetrated this FOUL and UNWORTHY deed*

[[Gai, I think, is not a devious man; he's utterly straightforward, no matter how weird his predilections are, so he doesn't quite get prankage.]]
