9:00 a.m. shouldn't feel this early.

So, I woke up at 7:30 for some reason, and rather than going back to sleep like a normal person, I decided to stay awake to make banana muffins in honor of Father's Day. I typically make banana bread, but I'll admit this was a bit quicker. Would have been quicker still if I had assembled all the ingredients before I'd started baking, and ( Read more... )

Muffins are usually palatable no matter what slight variance is introduced. Slap some cinnamon cream cheese on top and it's all good.

They actually tasted really good, even if they weren't like my typical banana bread.

No walnuts. We didn't have any. Plus, my sister doesn't like them. . . though it occurs to me now that she wasn't there and thus shouldn't have been an issue.

Go for it, man. Banana bread is my default baked good, and a fine one it is, too.
