Haven't had much time to do much more on lj than save links for later reading, and it may well be much later that I get to read them, as things have hectic, and I'm whacked. Proof? I went to get Devour, and picked up Elf as well, because that level of heartwarming silly is all my brain can take at the mo.

I've dumped Lost - not as clever as it thinks it is, and no real characterisation to speak of, all Potential and no Slayer.

I hate TotS anyway, can't find any way to redeem it. So it was a mild improvement and the Tory pisstake was amusing.

I'm trying to dump it. I've been talked into giving it one last chance (E4 tonight) by people who think it is clever. But, yes! on the summation - the characterisation is feeble, and yes! yes! yes! on the slaying comparison.

I bet Theresa May and co have been sending each other copies for encouragement if the boy David doesn't make Goliath wobble.

Well, it's pretty on the eyes, and there is the mystery of what's going on to keep people hooked, and maybe the navel-gazing comes across better across the pond . I'm just coming at it like a genre fan who would like a lot more acshunand faster development.

As for TotS, well I suppose you cant please all of the people all of the time. Heh - easy enough to say that, but I always get surprised - even though I have weird tastes (eg, whatever episode I hated, other people really, really liked and vice versa :).
