That was cool!

Honestly, the way prompts work surprise me completely. I almost never end up writing what I think makes sense with it.

It's like making a character for a D&D game- they always come out unexpected and have a mind of their own. Thanks for reading, lady! I hope you feel better soon!

It is, sort of.

I went back after I read it, to see what the prompt was, and I love what you did with it. It's perfect!

Thanks. I'm hoping so, too.

I was first caught by this line in the prompt:

The psychic, unstable, former host of Lucifer who spent centuries in the Cage and the protective, prophesied vessel of Michael who had his very own rack in the pit. The bond between them saved the world, but they'd watch it burn to save each other.

I want to quote that in my next ramble.

The boys in MY neighborhood would play Winchesters and demons.

That? Sounds like an AWESOME game. I love the rules you created for it, too.

Then I saw what kind of car it was. Impala. Old muscle car. No. Freaking. Way.

I adored this whole part, with the boy finding the car.

I was surprised to notice a bit of gray streaking his hair, and fine lines around his eyes. I just never pictured the Winchesters as getting older, somehow.

Fantastic - the whole initial discovery, the trepidation, the amazement of what he'd stumbled across.... Just fantastic.

He looked at me, and I understood why an archangel would want him to be his vessel. It couldn’t be just bloodline like the stories said. Even with the ( ... )

*BIG HUG* Thank you for coming and reading it! I hate self promoting, but you were one of the people I REALLY wanted to read it. I thought the prompt was really intriguing, even though the story came out much more intimate than I expected. I want someone to say thank you to the boys too...they deserve it! I figure one kid from a small farming town could do what EVERYONE ELSE should too! :)

This was simply lovely! I love the idea of Sam and Dean being a kid's heroes - they ARE heroes and it's wonderful to see them receive the recognition they deserve;-) And that last paragraph was simply perfect:

"They tell stories about psychic powers, and inhuman strength. I remember two very tired, worn, beat up and bloody guys. They never mention that part. I think it makes them even better heroes."

So true and beautifully put - great job on this one!:-D

It has been a crime that these heroes have gone unrecognized. It was an interesting world- the one where people knew who they were and what they did. Very fun to write. I am so glad that you liked it!

I really loved this. Sam 'n' Dean saved the word - go team! \o/ I liked the Brian character and the fact that the kids all play Winchester's and demons. That does sound fun. What touched me the most was how Dean was concerned about his brother and openly so.

“Sammy, let me do this, you’re going to be fine….”

I just about melted there. You did a brilliant job and I enjoyed reading this.
