I like the link of the day. I now know why the name seemed familiar when I saw it the other day. I've heard her name around DA in a very positive light ( ... )

I agree with you that this story doesn't make any sense. It's as though the author wants to write something original, yet they make it fanfiction instead and replace character names with those that are in the Harry Potter universe ( ... )

I've never understood why people can't tell the difference between original fiction and fanfiction. I guess it stems from the fact people believe that fanfiction means "fiction written by fans" when it doesn't. I thought one of the things people were supposed to learn in school is the fact a compound words definition doesn't necessarily contain the words used to create said word ( ... )

It strikes me as stupid and a waste of your time to read a story and then complain when it doesn't sound familiar to you.

Well, it strikes me as stupid to take characters from a fictional world, change their circumstances, change their relationships and change their personalities to the point they're unrecognisable, then still try and claim what you're writing is fanfiction rather than original fiction but with borrowed names. But there you have it. People want to read fanfic about things they're familiar with. That's the whole point.

I agree with you. Now that I think of it the writer is admitting that they are writing original fiction and not fanfiction without realizing it. I'll add that the people who read original fiction that is passed off as fanfiction read the stories because they don't know the characters well enough or understand characterization as of yet, or they read it just to get their daily dose of kink. Thus having a lot of reviews isn't a compliment on these stories even if the writing is actually good.

What's the point in keeping Sirius alive, if you're going to warp him beyond recognition? Sirius was many things, but a coward ( ... )

Aside from the whole plot, which is REALLY confusing, WHY IN SHUCKING HELL IS JAMES WRITING LIKE THAT? "Nor"? "Per our will"? This is probably just the author's way of making it serious, but it's really pissing me off for some reason. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
And seriously, Ignotus? Really? It sounds like some amphibian or something.
