I completely agree. These people aren't going to get better if all they hear is "Step away from the computer and die!" as opposed to "Get a beta reader to check the spelling, grammar, and canon."

Yeah, but... don't feel too bad, we won't hold it against you. I've got a post in my LJ somewhere where I started bitching at a friend because I was angry at something completely unrelated. I basically blamed her for all my problems, ever, and used the word "fuck" about sixty thousand times.

We all do it, just be careful from now on, okay? :)

If you still feel sorry,you could go back to the fic, and write a nicer review as punishment. rereading the damn thing for something nice to say is pretty hefty penance.

Anger is actually a really helpful motivator as long as it's directed at people who really deserve it. Just remember when you get mad that the Suethor didn't force you to read her drivel. But I give you a thumbs up to write terrible letters to movie producers that make you pay 11 dollars to see some of the unholy crap that's available.

And besides, Suethors generally gets lots of good reviews from other suethors so maybe she didn't notice she got one that was not as glowing.
