WHO: Yuugao and Jean WHAT: Slice of life WHERE: Institute? WHEN: Sunday, 25th WARNINGS: None, I don't think SUMMARY: A ninja and a mutant get reality warped into running a school. ( Not exactly the perfect fairytale ending )
For a mutant with powers that were not overly visible, Yuugao had been able to scoot through life without mentioning what he was. (It had taken several life-defying stunts for him to realize that he was different at all.) Life changed when he was featured on the national news as a hero for stopping a school shooting - even more so because he wasn't one of the popular sports-fanatic jocks in his senior class
( ... )
The one thing that seemed to keep her somewhat sane was having Yuugao there with her, how did he manage to seem so calm about things? Maybe that was one of the pitfalls of being a telepath, the stress around her sometimes caused her to feel more stressful than she usually would. Or maybe she just took things too seriously sometimes. She just wanted everything to be perfect, to go perfectly, for the kids and faculty to be happy and safe. Unfortunately things were never even close to perfect and she was just tired of work.
She looked up at Yuu and grinned, taking the chocolate bar from him. “Chocolate solves everything right? Except maybe the horrible lines I'm going to get from stressing so much.”
"It certainly makes me feel like a problem is as good as solved," he ate his own and then glanced down at her paperwork. "Hm, that stuff looks like definite line-producing calculations."
Yuugao leaned a little closer and then grinned widely. With Jean being a telepath it was difficult to surprise her, but time had given him a chance to get good at keeping his mind focused on something else while inwardly he knew what his actual tactic was. This time, it was to twist back around and plant a deep, long, and very hot kiss on her lips.
Jean wrapped her arms around his neck and savored the kiss. "Well, that may just be better than chocolate," she smiled and then took a bite of her own candy bar. It was kind of nice that he'd learned to get pretty good at keeping his mind distracted, she liked being able to have small surprises every now and then. She pushed the papers away and leaned back in her chair. "Why can't someone have a mutant that involves doing paperwork for me? Or just making money appear?"
