Before Sally went out, Warren wanted to be able to give her her present. So he caught her as she was headed toward the door. "Hey, Sally! Just a sec."

Sally skidded to a halt at his voice, and turned to look at him. She was excited to go exploring, something she'd failed to do the last time she was here, so she was practically bouncing up and down as she watched him. "What's up?"

He approached, and held out an envelope to her. Her name was scrawled neatly on the front of the envelope, and inside was her gift certificate to go shopping for clothes---in Seattle, of course, since T or C had next to no where to shop. "I just wanted to give you a Christmas gift. You're not here long, and I know you want to go and explore, so I figured we could get this out of the way."

"Oh! I need to give you mine that I bought for you!" She hurriedly sidestepped him and skidded to the room she was staying in. She was out again within moments and held out a carefully wrapped present as she took hers from him.

She carefully opened the enveloped and beamed at the gift certificate. "Thanks, Warren, I'm seriously going to put this to good use when I'm back in Seattle."

Alison was just on her way home from work when she spotted Sally close by. Grinning, she went to approach her. Ali was quite happy that Sally had swung by for a few days, as she knew it made Warren very thrilled. A nice Christmas gift, for sure.

Sally grinned, and tried to contain her excitement at seeing Alison. She still couldn't believe that Dazzler knew who she was. It was a childhood dream come true.

"Hey, Alison!" She held up her shopping bag. "Look at this awesome cowboy hat that I found. Isn't it great?"

"I bought it for Sam," Sally told her as she carefully tucked the had back into the bag. "Warren told me to go to Wal-Mart for one and he was right. There were tons there. The ones I've been to in Seattle don't really have these...or I'm going to the wrong ones up there."

She shrugged happily. "What are you up to?"

Bobby spotted Sally outside on his lunch break. In all of the chaos of the past week he hadn't actually heard she was coming. Possibly Warren had told him, but he had a bad habit of not paying attention.

"Sally?" he called. It wouldn't be that improbable for her to be here.

Sally whirled around at her name, and had the biggest grin on her face when she spotted Bobby. He was definitely one of the people she'd been hoping to see during her trip.

"Hi!" she called back, and skidded quickly over to him. "How are you?!"

"Warren wanted to see me before Christmas so I came down for a few days to hang out," she told him with a smile. "He's good like that. But, I'm glad you're doing okay after that kidnapping thing. We were all keeping an eye out for you when you disappeared, and I know your dragon looked pitiful without you."

Tom had been having a quiet morning. The job that he'd lost had been his first one---and the one with the most hours---so he had a great big gap in his day before he had to show up to schlep pizza around town. He liked being around people, but Bucky had things to do and he didn't want to crowd his pal all the time.

A creature of habit, he rolled out of bed early, had two cups of coffee, a cigarette, and a nice flight over the desert just after sunrise. By the time he got back, he was starving for breakfast and hoping to meet at least one familiar face. Truth or Consequences wasn't very big, and Tom was getting good at making friends.

Sally was walking along Truth or Consequences Main Street, and just slowly taking everything in. Life seemed to move at a much slower pace here, which reminded her a bit of when she'd attended college in Colorado. She'd enjoyed her time there and she could see why Warren hadn't tried to leave this place yet and was instead trying to bring a little life and economy to it instead.

She spotted Tom as she rounded the corner, and waved in greeting to him. "Hi, Tom!"
