Spirit of Humanity thoughts...
So the leader of the Green party tried to break a known naval blockade and was detained by Israeli forces. Nothing to make it to the headlines of CNN, FOX, ABC or MSNBC. This lack of interest might be due to the fact that Israel did not show any intention of holding the crew for any long period of time or diverting the humanitarian goods that the ship was trying to smuggle into Gaza strip.
Some, of course decided that this is a great matter and are organizing demonstrations in order to get the smugglers out of Israeli hands. They also allege that Israel was involved in piracy, which is understandable, it is a new unifying word that shows disgust with any other side to a naval conflict. Just as a note, UN does not recognize it as piracy per their definitions.
As I read the few articles on that matter, I could not stop being amazed at the utter idiocy of the smugglers and their supporters.
The name of the boat in news media per the "Free Gaza Movement" is "Spirit of Humanity". Officially the name of the boat is "Arion". Normally such confusion is reserved for pirate and smuggling ships in order to illegally allude maritime laws. I checked the meaning of Arion in order to avoid losses in translation, so here is something off Google.

Former U.S. lawmaker and Green Party leader Cynthia McKinney, a longtime activist for the Palestinians, says her boat, the Spirit of Humanity, was carrying medical supplies, cement, olive trees and children's toys to Gaza when it was seized by an Israeli navy ship.
All is good, but I start wondering if Green Party of today got confused in green colored flags of the world.
"This is an outrageous violation of international law against us," said McKinney. "Our boat was not in Israeli waters and we were on a human rights mission to the Gaza Strip. President Obama just told Israel to let in humanitarian and reconstruction supplies, and that's exactly what we tried to do. We're asking the international community to demand our release so we can resume our journey."
Well where they trying to let the goods in or where they taking the goods... In any case, did she forget that Israel is a sovereign country and President Obama has no legal rights over Israel? And that Gaza is still an Israeli territory, since no Palestinian would take that once flourishing prime piece of coastal real estate and make it into a sovereign country.
