[Luxray notices and turns, staring at Yellow and her little Pokemon warily. It's not getting up yet, though, because you're both, well, just kids. Volkner also glances up, but he doesn't say anything and goes back to brushing. Feel free to get closer or speak up, it seems like they're not going to object.]

[Luxray swishes its tail once and glances up at its trainer, who is looking at Yellow again.]

...Go ahead. [He doubts you're anything but harmless. He'll stop brushing the cat for the moment so Yellow can pet it.]

Meghan? [Uhh, sure, you can have a hug. Assuming those big scars and stuff don't repel you at the last second...]

[He... just saw you earlier. Right? Right. But whatever, a few hours is a long time to a little kid. It's a bit awkward, but Volkner will nod and loosely wrap an arm around Meghan in return.

Luxray sits up to make room and mrrrs quietly, sniffing briefly at the girl's hooded hair. Hm, that's odd, you don't smell quite right...?]

[Volkner and Luxray look up, but the young man doesn't return that smile and the cat is lashing its starred tail in a slightly agitated way. You're a little kid, though, so the Pokemon stays put on the ground while watching. Volkner will just go back to brushing it, if you don't speak up.]

[Oh, hello! Hopefully you won't mind a Volbeat approaching. There are two others standing guard on either side of their trainer, who is merely watching the third one. Oh no, you're hurt! That Volbeat is going to be chirping at you and gesturing wildly at those stitches. His trainer doesn't seem even remotely interested.]

That's a unique Pokemon. [Amber inclines his head at the strange cat-thing.] What type is it?

[Volkner won't, but the cat will. It immediately stands up, turning to face Volbeat and lashing its tail agitatedly. Its trainer doesn't seem bothered by the creature's reaction.]

Electric. It's called Luxray. [He's also pretty sure they aren't very uncommon, since he has several Shinxes in training back home and another one of these, too. But what does he know?]

[The Volbeat looks at the cat for a moment before dismissing it completely. Sorry, kitty, but you're not worth the bug's time. Nope, he's going to continue chirping at his trainer and pointing at Volkner's stitches. Clearly you need medical attention!]

Interesting. [Amber does look mildly interested in the Pokemon despite the distinct lack of an interested tone.] I've never seen a Pokemon like that. Where is it from? [The two Volbeats on either side of Amber look ready to jump into battle should the Luxray attempt to attack, but that derpy third one doesn't seem to particularly care one way or the other. Boss why are you not paying attention to this--!?]

[...The third Volbeat's derp is kind of ruining the tension here, so Luxray will stiffly point out that its trainer is fine, those are already healed. Do you see any blood here? It's not going to attack unless attacked first, but it wants to be ready just in case.]

The Sinnoh region. [Or that's where the two of them live. Shinxes might actually originate elsewhere, but... eh. Volkner glances at the energetic bugs, but doesn't look too interested.]
