[The lake is quiet today - several months since it arrived, actually, and there's no sign of it fading. The Ferris wheel, too, is still present; N's interest in this area, if anywhere, is usually drawn there. But it's the middle of March, and the days are getting warmer; he sees no harm in exploring the rest of the area ( Read more... )

[Well. At the moment he's reaching over and recovering that capsized engine over there, then studying the track for a moment before starting to take parts of it apart and rebuilding them.

...and just generally paying passersby no mind.]

Why don't you try to see if it can climb up a piece on an upward angle? [He has never, ever, ever played with one of these in his life and... Just let him have his fun, okay? Shut up. He can be curious this one time. B-Besides, maybe he can find one of these for little Blue.]

...Silver.

[As quickly as his attention had snapped up when he'd realized someone was talking to him, N doesn't seem ashamed of his current activities at all; Silver had simply startled him, that's all, and he seems to settle again quickly enough, studying the set before getting some of those blocks out from the box sitting just to his right.

Building, building...]

You seem better today.

Ah, Gold.

[He'll just be shaking his head a bit and going back to what he was doing, though he does offer a smile first for the sake of acknowledging Gold's presence.]

Not for now, anyway, though perhaps it'll end up like that. I like to see what can be done with it first.

[peering at the track] That thing is awesome though, those I had as a kid wouldn't run unless it was closed. Something with the current went through I think?
[He's smart, but don't ask too much academic knowledge out of him, this guy dropped school at thirteen]

[While N has what Father has taught him - though N is fortunate in that regard, as Father has always valued intellect.]

Yes, that would make sense - I've had some that run without the track being closed off, though I'm not entirely sure that this is one that should. But this island also seems to make things run as they probably shouldn't - the Ferris wheel hasn't had an operator since it arrived, for example.

[...huh. The voice sounds much younger than those he's used to addressing him on this island; he's met a couple of the children here, yes, but not nearly enough for him to really know what to...say to them. The most he's really figured out is that they are small and easily made unhappy, so being gentle with them in all ways that one can be gentle with them is probably best -

Oh. Well. Are...are you dressed like a Pokemon? That's. Well, that's new.]

Ah. Yes, I am, actually.

[Speaking of Pikachu, you seem to have one there - hello - and...oh, you're asking him something...

Normally he might have looked at you a bit strangely, there, but right now you are fascinating enough for him to not worry about exactly who you are, the fact that you seem to have modeled yourself after that pokemon you have with you is...really interesting, actually.]

...you can help, if you'd like.

[...Cheren.

N has interacted very little with Cheren back in his world; he knows that Cheren is brash, often to the point of rudeness, that he thinks N talks too fast, that he raises his Pokemon for power - and while those first two are minor slights that N is more than willing to shrug off, the last...

Do you have all of the parts needed to finish? You wouldn't want to underestimate the length of the supplies you have, over what you plan to make.

Nanao, is it...? My name is N; it's good to meet you.
