There's an AU in there somewhere about what Klaus's life could have been like, but I don't think I'm the one to tackle it.
You know, of all the Mikaelsons, he's the one I'm having the hardest time picturing outside of Mikael's reign of terror - especially since if he'd been raised with the wolves he would have been out of Esther's sphere of influence as well, or at least had some reasonable counterbalance to her. Which is very true to life, I think, that the person with most reason to want out of a situation is the person most shaped by it.

LOLOL, this made me laugh so much. I think many of us could say the same thing, but in Klaus' case it reaches epic levels of irony.
"This is Santa’s big scene,” we hear, as the not-so-saintly Nik delivers Esther the present he thinks she deserves.
I totally missed that! I mean, I recognized Silver Bells but I wasn't thinking about that particular line. Great observation.

I thought that about why she chose to turn her children to vampires as well.

lmao, this was one of my favourite bits of Finn dialogue. He fits in well with his melodramatic siblings.
I hadn't made those connections to Christmas things, they do feel appropriate! Look forward to your thoughts on the latest episode.
