I am so here for the post-movie Avengers! They're great! And, I have to say, I am really excited to see a Wanda without a Pietro. It sounds terrible, but he's always such a huge part of her character (positive or negative) that it's exciting to see her out on her own being an Avenger! I loved that pep talk Clint gave her, too.

I 100% agree. I've always been a bigger Wanda fan than Pietro fan (by a large margin) and I'm really interested to see where she goes from here. And to see her acting as a member of this team! It's like all my faves together in one place!

YAY SOMEONE ELSE LIKE THE MOVIE A LOT TOO

I have nothing in particular to add. It was a lot of fun! There were some pacing issues, and a couple of character beats that didn't quite work for me due to aforementioned pacing issues, but on the whole it was just good fun and had lots of stuff I liked and also Clint being the sarcastic shit he is, and the general fandom reaction to it has just depressed me a lot.

Ugh, yeah, SO GLAD I'M NOT IN THIS FANDOM/ON TUMBLR RIGHT NOW.

I'm so mad about how invested I am in Clint now. OF COURSE THEY HAD TO GIVE HIM A HIDDEN DOMESTIC LIFE. OF COURSE.

But yeah, I really generally liked it a lot and I'll probably see it again with a few of my friends who haven't had a chance to see it yet, and I don't quite get the pervasive hate-on fandom seems to have developed towards it. I mean, I assume that it's at least partially Whedon backlash, but, yikes, I've heard it's rough out there /o\

anyway overall I really enjoyed it too!! per usj I personally left overwhelmed with feelings about Bruce Banner but that's kind of just been my life since like 2012, so... situation ongoing.

also I would watch a whole movie that was just their revels, with no robot wars at all.

I'm with you on this! Tumblr is a scary place. :/

I loved Wanda and Pietro! And the Vision! (Although I have to admit that they did stick out like a sore thumb, lol!) And Clint's family! I actually found that adorable (Clint's family), even though it jossed (LOL, the irony of this word right now) a lot of fans head canon's, what with the huge sub-fandom that are Clint/Phil shippers.

I do gotta say that I came out of this movie shipping Steve/Tony. LMAO. The first movie didn't do anything for me, but in this movie, I saw it!

Yeah, I can't say I was necessarily a fan of Clint/Coulson, and secret domestic lives are like catnip to me, so I'm much happier with actual canon than anything that was theorized before XD

IT'S FUNNY YOU MENTION STEVE/TONY, because I DEFINITELY got a lot of Steve/Tony vibes from the flick. I'm friends with a bunch of old school comics Steve/Tony fans, so I went into the first movie sort of expecting that dynamic and not seeing much of it, but BOY was it present here. Between that fraught woodcutting scene and their goodbye and how Tony's horrible nightmare ended with close-ups on Steve's bloody face with Steve crying about Tony's betrayal....like, damn, movie. That is some subtext you're piling on.

Same, wasn't a fan of them either. I wasn't actually shipping anyone except Loki/Thor, in the Avengers, but then again, those two are from Thor and that's where my shipping came from.

AHA, IKR? I thought it interesting (*cough*) that Steve was the first person Tony went to in his vision. Steve is the most important to him from the group, and I don't even think Tony knew that. He's such an emotional closet case, dude (case in point: the goodbye scene).
