I was so excited that he was cast in X-Men but then, I found out he was going to be a villain again and how the director is such a huge Game of Thrones fan and cringed...
I'm totally happy that people know who he is now and everything but he had a wide body of wonderful work before GoT came along and it's like no one remembers that...
The wedding was totally perfect, I loved it and I loved where she was talking about signs...they're just so cute.
This week's community was the first one I actually liked this season.
Haha, well, we're actually more familiar with him from his other work, as neither of us has ever seen Game of Thrones, if that makes you feel any better?
I'm still ambivalent about Community. I haven't outright disliked any of the episodes, but none of them feel right, and when we were re-watching S2 last week, we just kind of got sad that we'll probably never see the show being that good again.
I wasn't overly impressed with Elementary either - I'm a big, big Jonny Lee Miller fan and was frankly salivating at the thought of him actually being in another show (I still miss Eli Stone!) but it didn't grab me. I watched the first seven or eight episodes but it was just kind of "meh" to me. =/ I'll probably end up trying it again, but for now I'm not overly fussed with it.
I CANNOT start on Parks and Rec; I watched it at 2am so was possibly sobbing more than I would have otherwise, but it WAS unbelievably perfect - "I love you and I like you" was so amazing, omg.
Also kind of let down by Community so far. Feeling very ragey by some particular things I'm not going to start ranting about here, but it really does feel very different and it's not all good. =/
I would also watch the shit out of Peter Dinklage as Sherlock. Excellent casting choice.
"meh" is a good summary of how I felt. I was super confused by how everyone keeps telling me "but the characters and their relationship are so good!" because I feel like I STILL don't know anything about Joan and most of what I know about Sherlock is not particularly insightful or new? It's not a bad show, it's just not the second coming of well-rounded detective shows that I was expecting based on the hype
