5D's ending 3: a comparative study.
YET ANOTHER 5D'S POST. Sorry, DM+GXers.
So you guys noticed how, between episodes 65 and 66, that pan-shot in the ending seemed different?
Now that the raw of 66 is out, I decided to do a comparison.
The results are hideous.
Starting from the top and working our way down, first up is Yuusei. (Or Yusei, if that's what floats your boat.)
His coat loses a lot of its life, and his hands turn into fists.
His hips and waist make a lot less sense, but the really awkward wrinkles are gone.
Yuusei loses his happy expression and his duel disk. I hope it didn't kill anyone, falling to earth.
But I guess if it's the Ugliness Disk, it must have hit everyone on the way down.
Aki loses her serenity and grace for stubby hands, terrible sleeves, reduced bust, spikier hair. Her happy face looks slightly nightmarish.
At least the shoes make sense.
Oh, and a panty shot. And she's shiny.
Her hair looks like it's made out of putty.
Most of her duster is gone.
Jack Atlas, what the fuck happened to your head. Necklace lowered, coat got shinier.
But seriously what is up with that head.
Crow: did not suffer too horribly. Knee pads make less sense, but the pockets look better.
I do like the vest better the first time, though. Also he moved towards the middle and gained prominence.
Black Armor Wing got a redraw, too, but I don't feel like grabbing that one. It has the same quality in both, though.
Ancient Fairy: Looks much better in the re-draw: hair makes more sense, and the head isn't nearly as scary.
AFD is the only victor here.
Where at first, Rua has a nice look of panic and motion, most of that's lost in favor of neater, shinier hair, and a knee.
Also what the hell is up with his hand?
While he didn't suffer too badly, his second shot loses a lot of the life and fun of the first.

Her soulless, Rua-shaped eyes
Her sponge-like putty hair
Balloon pants, holding her knees together like she needs to pee
AND WILL EAT YOUR SOUL
COMING TO GET IT RIGHT NOW
HOLD STILL SHE CAN EAT IT RIGHT THROUGH THE MONITOR
and WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER HAND
