Things I learned today - groundhogs have the most adorable yawns in the whole world:
Uncurl from nap
Flatten onto belly
One paw stretched forward
HUGE YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, maybe even has opossums beat, that was a good 180 degree jaw angle it looked like! Not nearly so many toofs though.
Sit back on haunches and nyap nyap nyap. Hee! :D

The way Gandalf is lying reminds me of a cat I had years ago - Garfield. He was a kind-of peach-ginger, and Mum believes he was part persian. He liked to sleep in my brother's sleeping bag, with his back legs pointing one direction, and his front legs pointed the opposite.
Gandalf might not be twisted that far, but the way his back legs are in the air reminds me of it.

I think Bertha is a brilliant name! After all, there were large artillery guns in WW1 named "Big Bertha".

Aw, kitty in sleeping bag sounds adorable! :D Gandalf comes up with all kinds of creative sleeping positions, usually with his paws tucked up around his face or over his nose, and both he and Toast are fond of the belly up and/or the half-twist <3 Cute Sleeping Olympics! I bet my guys could take the bronze or silver, at the very least :P

"Big Bertha," of course! :D Now I wonder if I might have been subconsciously thinking of those...
