I go to therapy on Wednesday, and I’m thinking that I may only need one or two more sessions, and I’ll be completely finished. Therapy has helped me so much, and I am so glad that I didn’t go the medication route

Hmmm...I've tried therapy 5 times, and although it sometimes gave me a little more insight that I could have figured out myself, I still prefer meds over it as they work so much better for me.
I think that it made a difference that mine was the result of a substance. I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder with anxiety and depression, rather than GAD or clinical depression. I knew that I need to change the way I think to make myself feel better rather than treating the damage of one medication with another. A lot of people seem to do well with meds, but it wasn't for me.
Ja. Meds aren't suitable for everyone. In fact I'm working on an article about whether or not meds do in fact help people manage their conditions or whether they are, in fact, over-rated.
I myself just have some majorly serious depression which doesn't seem to go away on its own no matter how much I try.
Whoo, progress!! I can promise that you will feel LOADS better once you quit. I've been cigarette free for nearly a year now and I feel so much better. You're doing an awesome job, chica.
I'm glad to hear it. You know, now that I've had time to reflect I think my anxiety before going off of the pill was mainly cigarettes. After my bad times after the pill, my anxiety was so bad that I couldn't stand it when I tried to quit then. I made it almost 48 hours without any, which I now know is a normal part of withdrawal that would have diminished by day 3.
Oh man, my anxiety dropped soooo much after I quit. My patience can go on for DAYS now, it's rather nifty. But it definitely makes sense for your anxiety attacks and smoking to go hand-in-hand.

+ Increased sense of smell + Your fingers and walls won't turn yellow + Money for other things + Higher Lung Capacity > Running/Hiking/Swiming will be easier + Won't have to worry about cigarette burns on your stuff + Looks better on your insurance policy + Sharks won't attack you ^ That was a blatant lie, stay out of the ocean
P.s. I'm looking foward to my visit down as well. See you soon:)

I am already starting to experience some of those things just.by cutting back. I'm at six-a-day this week, and I want to sniff EVERYTHING. Also, I went running yesterday and carried on a conversation and made it longer. This is good!

Also hooray for making it through week one. Congrats.
I'm sad that Bella is gone. We need to visit Brandon when she's older to see how she grows up.
It was tooooooo fucking hot yesterday, and I was languishing in no air conditioner land. I feel your pain.

Thank you.
Me too. We definitely need to see her.
It was miserable. Our room was an oven.
