approximate travel plans question

Does anyone know how much it would cost to go to Florida? As in, airplane ticket plus hotel room for a week or two weeks. I might have to travel there sometime in the future, probably not until next winter or next summer at the latest, but I am starting saving up for what I am going to be doing there and would like to know also how much I

A lot depends on what part of Florida. My father lives in Miami and I got a roundtrip ticket for less than $200 when I visited him this past January. I thought that was a great price. The prices got much higher when you get into "spring break" season. My boyfriend and I went down there a few years ago and got decent hotel rates when we went through one of those priceline/kayak sites.

It's Sunrise FL. I looked up airports and apparantly the closest airport to there is 8,100 miles away from the actual town I'll need to be in

I might be looking at a different sunrise florida, but it appears to be about 30 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale International airport. That's a smaller airport, my mom always liked me going through there. I think there's a Southwest hub out of there. good luck!
