So, the Kate Bush song "Running Up That Hill (Deal With God)" features pretty prominently in the new season of Stranger Things. Like, as an actual plot device, not just as incidental music. And it shot to the top of iTunes when all the Millennials and Gen Z kids who are fans of the show looked it up

I know some people might think this is dumb but it always bugs me when some song I love gets used in a TV show I can't stand and people act like the TV show invented the song.

I mean, fine, I don't really feel any kind of way about that, but it's not what's happening here. It's just people old enough to have listened to the song when it was new--and I'm in that age group, so I'm judging peers, here--being cranky and weird about younger people discovering it through a TV show they like. Anything that leads new people to discover old music is fine with me.
