I almost never talk about politics because I usually just don't care, but lately the stupidity of this government has gotten out of hand

honestly? i can't imagine the u.s. government ever being able to get out of their debt situation.

well, i'm sure it could happen eventually but it would take so many drastic measures that i don't think people would be willing to deal with.

It's not even so much about them getting out of debt as them simply being able to handle the debt. Right now they're about to screw over the economy because they can't raise the debt ceiling, so we may end up defaulting on our loans and worsening an already weakened economy, all because they're arguing like idiots. Ugh.

I can't imagine them ever getting out of debt either, but they don't need to make it worse because of stupid party lines.
