Also, the quipu is not really what I'd pictured at all, but now that I see it, I'm wondering if I could make a beaded version....::contemplates:: Very cool!

Some quipu had beads on them. I don't see why you couldn't make one with beads.

That would be very cool. I'd like to see what you come up with. I thought briefly about making a rainbow one and calling it the queerpu. ;-p
