It is easily frgotten that the Spanish Flu was a big thing in 1918 just after the ending of WWI.

there is so much similar to now, yet previously unspoken about it. did you hear much about it in school? not here in canada, they talked about giving small pox blankets to the natives and residential schools. spanish flu was something from overseas.. to us

No mate. Never heard anything about it in school. Not until I got to university to doing a history and arts degree course that I got to know about it.

oddly my insight into history was not a study of history, per se,
it was through art history in archeology, folklore and mythology,
so i have quite a different view of history
and without the socio-economic and political facts, i can only imagine..
