I don't know Loveless, but this - Virgins in that universe have cat-like tails and ears. You become earless and tailless when you have sex, and you become an 'adult.' Ritsuka and Seimei still have ears; Soubi lost his ears at a young age got my attention!

Right? Right? That was what tickled my curiosity about the 'verse at first too.
I couldn't got into the manga years back because the universe and plot threads were explained too slowly for my liking. I watched a few anime episodes and got motivated to try the manga again.
