I began to read Bleach 440 and realised pretty quick that I was gonna need to write my thoughts as I went, so ... Here we go. My rambling thoughts while reading through the chapter... I've been doing this alot lately haven't I??
I'm worried about Orihime too. It's really confusing, but makes me more excited for what we can see from her now. ♥ No more comedy-relief!Orihime, and we'll see about her powers and why she didn't use Tsubaki (still) or heal Ishida~.
And honestly, haha it makes more hopeful of getting Orihime ----> Ulquiorra. And maybe even something about Ulquiorra. *excited for once*
Everything else is also very interesting as well, I can't wait to see it play out.
Also yeah I agree with what you said about Origo....just nothing there at all. =/ Especially when you compare how the guys acts around Rukia in such situations. *sighs* Oh Orihime.
I hope it's something good. Poor girl has been through so much already, surely she can't sink any lower?? *chews at nails with concern* With Tsubaki ... I'm assuming she didn't use him against Tsukishima because, in all likelihood, she probably didn't think she'd be able to beat him. She wanted to "stop" him, but it didn't seem like she wanted to "attack" him ... But, I'd like to know why she didn't heal Ishida. Surely she wasn't just thinking "Oh, he'll be fine. He's at the hospital!" ... Mmm... It all just bodes badly. I mean, although we saw the fairies leap out, we didn't actually see the barrier manifest so it makes me wonder if the Shun Shun Rikka are alright...
Really? I don't know! The more the story progresses, the more it makes me fear we're not going to get any closure about what Orihime thought about the dome, or Ulquiorra, or anything like that. ... And at the same time, I'm firm in my opinion that can't be the end of Ulquiorra. I'm so confused XDD
( ... )
D8 It's Orihime, anything is possible with her sinking lower haha. She needs a bigger reality check, IMO.
Maybe with Tsubaki, but I have a feeling she has not used him at all since the Yammy incident. Just....doesn't feel right, more so with her shield was, I mean she goes from thinking "I shouldn't use my shield because he'll take it as an attack." but she uses it to stop him? what.
And yeah, the healing is such a big sign! I mean, come on. I don't buy what people are saying why she didn't use it.
I can understand that. But the dome/HM was such a big thing with her development that it CAN'T be ignored. :fu Then again, I'm endless with hope, lmao
I think you're right Issues. I don't think she's used Tsubaki since Yammy crushed him ... Which is annoying because she was so happy at seeing him or fixed ... ... But is that for lack of opportunity, or because she's scared to see him smashed again? Hmmm... But, it was a strange choice - confuse a shield as an attack? Huh? What were you thinking Woman?? Ugh. I don't even... *sigh*
Oh no. There is no excuse for not Healing Ishida. Especially when he was in such pain. Errrrr! Get it together Orihime!
I want to think so too, I really, really do. I don't want the events of Huenco Mundo to be swept under a carpet and forgotten. I just ... No. Too much went on up there, and they seriously need to deal with the consequences of those things. *crosses fingers*
I wish I could invest more time into caring about Orihime, but right now, I feel really tired of her...I guess "tired" is the easiest way to put it. Until I see her truly thinking about her actions; about what she really wants; who she is; about the person she wants to be and then taking real action to change things - basically until I see something really deep from Orihime and when my expectations for her as a heroine don't have to be below zero just so I can feel slightly appreciative of anything positive she does - until that time, I cannot invest any more of my emotions on her character

You're at the point where you want some development, not this "one step forward, two steps back" game Kubo is playing with her. You've seen what she's capable of, and now you just want her to stay there and live up to her potential instead of being dragged down over and over again???
And I can't blame you for that - it's precisely why I'm so "Omg, finally!" about seeing a determined, standing up for herself Orihime =)If she falls back into her D.I.D mode afterwards though ... It's seriously gonna bug me. Which is why I was so "Oh, ffs" at seeing cloud-speech bubble Orihime again the very instant Ichigo arrives on the scene. That annoyed me, even if I can understand why she's doing it :hm
Aws, ILU, my anti-Origo friend ♥ You're right. There's no point in even trying to understand it because it's just ... Ugh. No. Not gonna happen.
My theory is that they're not right - because the shield didn't manifest. Sure, we saw the fairies jump out ... But the Shield is normally instantaneous. The only explanation I can think of - that isn't "Shun Shun Rikka = Broke", is that perhaps she'd cast the shield over where Tsuki-pon was standing, to try and prevent him from leaving? You're right though. There is no excuse for Orihime to not have healed Ishida. A case of "Well, he was at the hospital..." just doesn't cut it for me. Something is not right with the Shun Shun Rikka My own fan-take of it is that she's mentally unwell after the events of the dome and that's affected the pinsI dunno about that ... I get more of a creep-factor from Tsuki-pon than I do from grease-hair. He really reminds me of Aizen, which is a creepy thing in all ways. It's likely he can affect people's minds if Ishida couldn't remember ... Maybe he's trying to
( ... )
I really hope so TT^TT Plz don't let Ulquiorra's "Ashing" (Still refuse to believe he's truly gone) be for nothing
Mmm ... It's possible. It's strange that Grease-hair would hold that kind of information back... But, I don't know ... He's too ruthless, imo, for him to be a good-guy XD Eh? Really? I'm not sure I get the appeal there ^^; I mean ... ... I like his aristocratic look, but those black eyes freak me out a little XD
I think it's more a case of needing to fix something than Kubo's lack of skills. I mean ... ... I get a Nakama feel between Tatsuki and Orihime, and maybe Tatsuki and Ichigo ... I USED to feel it between Sado and Ichigo (Until the point where Ichigo got stuck up and didn't rely on him anymore) ... So, it's more of a Nakama feel between individuals than as a Nakama-group. The only time they started to seem more connected was when they were saving Rukia, but even then it was because they had a similar cause more than anything else.
