A reponse to game of thrones, though I haven't watched this week's episode.

Apparently the whole world is up in arms about this week's Game of Thrones, a.k.a The Red Wedding. There's been tons of "Fuck you, George R.R. Martin" and "I want to stab him and HBO in the FACE!". I haven't actually seen the episode yet, but I have read the book, so I know what happens

I think I am the only one that hasn't read the book nor seen the show. People at work love this book series and they couldn't stop talking about it. They were really upset.

I am thinking of getting a Games of Thrones for Dummies just so I know what people are talking about :)

I just saw the epi and, though I've only read Bk 1 and therefore was (somewhat) surprised, I can't say this came out of left field. Robb was being a complete idiot and I didn't care for the little wifey, though it was horrid how she was killed. Caitlin was harder. :( But people disparaging Martin are silly. It's a damn good show!

I was way more upset at Ned's death than Robb and co's; but yeah. If you can't handle main/major characters dying horrible deaths then stop watching high quality cable dramas, overly upset people that likely aren't reading this random internet comment.
