Well I would suffer withdrawals pains but I wouldn't have to be paid to do it. It would probably be good for me. I might even enjoy it. In fact probably so. What do you do when you do retreat?
I meditate, study and do my Vajrayana practices. I stay away from alcohol and eat very simple food. Last time I only ate what I could fix in the rice cooker, mostly rice pilafs with dried fruit and vegetables. It really helped.
I'm not sure what the translation would be for me. I don't have any formal Vajrayana practices that I do. I suppose I could get some but which ones I don't know. Also I have a partner I live with so I'd have to navigate my obligations there as well.
Yes, I take the week off work. I go on retreats the way other people go on vacations. I have paid vacation time these days so I can actually be paid to go on retreat, which makes me feel just absurdly lucky
