Well I would suffer withdrawals pains but I wouldn't have to be paid to do it.
It would probably be good for me. I might even enjoy it. In fact probably so.
What do you do when you do retreat?

I meditate, study and do my Vajrayana practices. I stay away from alcohol and eat very simple food. Last time I only ate what I could fix in the rice cooker, mostly rice pilafs with dried fruit and vegetables. It really helped.

Cool. Do you not work during that time?

I'm not sure what the translation would be for me. I don't have any formal Vajrayana practices that I do. I suppose I could get some but which ones I don't know.
Also I have a partner I live with so I'd have to navigate my obligations there as well.

Yes, I take the week off work. I go on retreats the way other people go on vacations. I have paid vacation time these days so I can actually be paid to go on retreat, which makes me feel just absurdly lucky ( ... )
