I love hearing about this collection. I'm very impressed with the condition of the accompanying materials that came along with this computer. Do you intend to try to get the display working? Do you see yourself delving into programmable calculators at all?
Yeah, the condition was pretty amazing. The owner actually had his name and SSN written on the bottom of it (it was that old). he removed the SSN obviously, but his name is still there.
I'm not sure if I'll try and repair the display. I want a functional PC-something in the collection so people can tinker with the environment, but I'm not sure its important to get this one repaired. I wanted a PC-1 as the 'first' of the series.
My wishlist has a couple calculators on them, as 'important' or 'significant', such as the first programmable one from HP, the Curta mechanical calculator, etc.
