Just finished "Deja Vu All Over Again". Self-doubt and affirmation, that proud little smile he gave her, Alfredo, Joan. Why did it take me this long to get through the first half of the season? Why did no-one tell me? (This is a lie; everyone told me. I have no excuse.)

I do love this Sherlock and Watson; I've still got episodes I've recorded on the Sky box that I need to watch. It is interesting to see how Holmes would react if his closest friend was a lady, because while he knows she's capable, I think he's just that extra bit softer. I actually don't know if I prefer them as friends or a romantic couple; they actually quite work as non-romantic life partners (which makes me feel like a bit of a hypocrite after all the genderswapping I've done in the Sherlock fandom!)

I am about 95% convinced I prefer them as non-romantic life partners, honestly, but I am very glad fandom offers scope for the remaining 5%, because done well I think I'd enjoy that too!
